Tip for the day: As Autumn joins us you might want to celebrate it by playing conquers. If you’re not familiar with the game read on…Collect some horse chestnuts and some shoe laces. Bore slim holes through the middle of the chestnuts and insert the shoe lace. Make a knot at the bottom of the lace so the chestnut can hang freely then prepare to play. You and a friend/opponent take turns in launching your chestnuts towards the other. Here we play you get three attempts each before switching. The player not attacking must hold his chestnut up still for the duration of the three attacks. The winner is the player who destroys the others chestnut. But when playing we don’t call them chestnuts, we call them conquers!
